Cogenhoe United A strong Cogenhoe side brushed aside their opponents with 2 goals in each half. After early midfield exchanges the Cooks took the lead through a well taken Dan Holman goal. Holman latched onto a headed through ball from Damon Herbert and calmly slotted past the keeper. Holman added a second following a scramble in the box from a corner. Half time 0-2.

The second half continued where the first had left off with Cogenhoe enjoying a lot of possession and Woodford rarely threatening the Cooks goal. Cogenhoe made the points safe when Tom Nicholson arrived unmarked in box and headed home a right wing cross. Ashley Simpson rounded off a superb one touch passing move by rounding two defenders and smashing the ball home.

A good team performance with some great passing football being played.
